My oldest has told me that I could be a tour guide of our area because I know a lot of places. So during April, I’m going to share some of those local sights beginning with A and then ending with the letter Z. I’ll be sharing these sights Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, I’ll be continuing to share my Disney photos.
So where are these local sights? They are mostly in the Dayton, Ohio area. Some of them are in Columbus or the Cincinnati area.
Between Montgomery County, where Dayton is located, and Hamilton County, where Cincinnati is located, are two counties – Warren and Butler. Butler County has a Donut Trail.
You visit nine or ten donut shops in the Butler County area. (The tenth one is a bonus one.) After you complete the trail, you get a free t-shirt.
Since the Donut Trail involves donut shops that usually close by noon and may sell out of the donuts, it’s best to plan to take 2 days to complete the trail. That’s what we did when we completed it in October.
When you get to Jupiter’s Donuts in Fairfield, I highly recommend going over to Jungle Jim’s grocery store. It’s an adventure upon itself. They have a bathroom that looks like it is a port a potty. When you open the door, it’s a regular bathroom.
They have all kinds of food from all over the world and typical American fare. If you are looking for something unusual, Jungle Jim’s is the place to go.
Back to the donut trail, I shared photos of it in October. Here are links to the photos.

Traci
