I turn 51 this week. This past weekend, I decided I needed to come up with a list of 60 things I want to do before I’m 60. If I broke it down, I would need to conquer at least 6 each year to break even. To start the list, I needed to look back at the year I’ve had to see what bucket list items I accomplished. This past year, I’ve done 8 bucket list items.

1. Solo trip – I did this on my 50th birthday.

2. Ride the Hornblower/ Niagara City Cruise – I said in 2019 that I needed to do the boat tour on the Canadian side.

3. Visited the remaining states on the eastern seaboard. Connecticut and Rhode Island

4. Begin healing my inner child – I did a lot of that in April.

5. Present at our school’s Professional Development Day. – Fear of public speaking to people I don’t know.

6. Build a Lego kit – My aunt gave me a Lego kit for my birthday. The next week, we went down to Kentucky. It was yucky outside, so we spent the time building that kit.

7. Brandon Lake show – We sat close to the stage in October. A lot of worshipping and healing was done that night.

8. Get a puppy – Pongo has been a blessing in my life. He was meant to be my puppy.

Only 52 more items to go. Now it’s up to me to decide what those items will be. Here are some ideas I’ve come up with:

  1. Staycation at the hotel connected to the Arcade in downtown Dayton.
  2. Road trip to several of the remaining states I have not visited:
    • Arkansas
    • California
    • Idaho
    • Louisiana
    • Mississippi
    • Montana
    • Nebraska
    • Nevada
    • New Mexico
    • North Dakota
    • Oregon
    • South Dakota
    • Utah
    • Washington
    • Wyoming
  3. Go to the Grand Canyon – This has been on my list since before my mom died.
  4. Write the book about my friend and my travels – They are on pause right now so this would be an opportune time to write about them.
  5. Learn how to make butter chicken from scratch
  6. Perfect my make up routine
  7. Color my greying hair to a fun color
  8. Travel to a different province of Canada other than just Ontario
  9. Travel to Hawaii and Alaska – This might be something that will be done when I retire.
  10. Share my faith with others
  11. Get another tattoo – I have no idea of what just yet.

I will continue to make the bucket list as I come up with ideas. I’m going to be doing one of the items on the list later this month. One of the items needs to be a continous bucket list item. And one I’m working on right now. So I’ll leave you hanging which of the list I am talking about.
