Quick Strawberry Lemonade

My boys and I love a tall glass of lemonade.  My favorite lemonades are from Chick-Fil-A and Wendy’s.  When I order a lemonade from my Wendy’s I usually order the strawberry lemonade.  This is at home version of the strawberry lemonade from Wendy’s.

Both boys enjoyed this lemonade when I made it the other day.

Quick Strawberry Lemonade

Stars of the recipe:

  • 2 c. strawberries (greens removed)
  • 3/4 to 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. lemon juice (I use the bottled version.)
  • 5 c. water, divided

Steps:

  1. Place the strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and 1 c. of the water in a blender.
  2. Blend until the strawberries are pureed.
  3. Pour into a pitcher.  Add 4 c. of cold water to the pitcher.
  4. Enjoy over ice!

We are celebrating the sixth anniversary of my blog on the 18th of this month.  I started this blog to write down recipes and to document our lives.  I want this blog to be a cookbook for my boys for when they are grown and living on their own.  When this blog started they were turning 5 and 7 years old.  They are now going to be 11 and 13 soon.  Time flies when you are having fun.

Here is my first blog post:
Reading to Therapy Dogs – On Tuesday, we are going to read to the therapy dogs once again.  Now they are fluent readers.  In fact, the Imaginative One is gifted in reading.

In June, we are going to revisit some of my favorite blog posts from the past 6 years.

Happy eating,
Traci
