Welcoming back the veterans. The bagpiper went on the April trip. He decided to give back by playing the bagpipe. This video has almost 200 likes and multiple shares on the Honor Flight Dayton page. Truly amazing because all I did was turn my Go Pro on and let the moment unfold.

Honor Flight is the most emotional event you can witness. Veterans get a chance to go see their memorials in Washington, D.C. Family, friends, and strangers gather in the airport late into the evening to welcome them home. Gratitude flows from the veterans and those who welcome them back.

On Sunday, I witnessed the wonderful 200th-anniversary celebration of my mom's childhood church. I attended the church for 2 years as a preteen. I've witnessed weddings, anniversaries, and even funerals/memorials at this church. So many memories both happy and sad. My family is buried in their cemetery behind the church.
