Eggnog Creamer

If I could describe this creamer, I would say yum!

I made a batch of this on Monday evening.  The next morning, my coffee maker decided not to work.  😦  Finally, my husband was able to get it to work on Wednesday afternoon.  We don’t know why it stopped working and why it began to work once again.  Crazy.

Wednesday evening, I had a cup of coffee with this creamer.  It was even better than on Monday.

One reason I like making homemade creamers is that I can control what goes in the creamer.

Most of the creamers you buy in the grocery store are nondairy.  Since I don’t drink milk alone, this is one way to get my dairy deliciously.

I have also discovered how easy it is to make homemade creamers.

Onto the recipe:

Eggnog Creamer

Stars of the recipe:

  • 1/2 c. milk, half and half, or heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 c. condensed milk
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 2 tsp. rum extract (found near the vanilla extract)
  • 2 tsp. ground nutmeg

Steps:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mason jar.  Put the lid on the jar.
  2. Shake to combine.
  3. Use 1 to 2 Tbsp. of the creamer in your hot coffee.

Notes:

Shake up the creamer before each use.

Happy eating,
Traci
