If I could describe this creamer, I would say yum!
I made a batch of this on Monday evening. The next morning, my coffee maker decided not to work. 😦 Finally my husband was able to get it to work on Wednesday afternoon. We don’t know why it stopped working and why it began to work once again. Crazy.
Wednesday evening, I was able to have a cup of coffee with this creamer. It was even better then on Monday.
One reason I like to make homemade creamers is the fact I can control what goes in the creamer.
Most of the creamers you buy in the grocery store are non dairy. Since I don’t drink milk by itself, this is one way for me to get my dairy in a delicious manner.
I have also discovered how easy it is to make homemade creamers.
Onto the recipe:
Eggnog Creamer
Stars of the recipe:
- 1/2 c. milk, half and half, or heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 c. condensed milk
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 2 tsp. rum extract (found near the vanilla extract)
- 2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a mason jar. Put the lid on the jar.
- Shake to combine.
- Use 1 to 2 Tbsp. of the creamer in your hot coffee.
Notes:
Shake up the creamer before each use.
Happy eating,
Traci
