My oldest has told me that I could be a tour guide of our area because I know a lot of places. So during April, I’m going to share some of those local sights beginning with A and then ending with the letter Z. I’ll be sharing these sights Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, I’ll be continuing to share my Disney photos.
So where are these local sights? They are mostly in the Dayton, Ohio area. Some of them are in Columbus or the Cincinnati area.
Today we are visiting one of the Five Rivers Metro Parks. 2nd Street Market is located a few blocks from RiverScape. I really enjoy going to it. I just wish it was open more or later on the days it is open. It’s only open Thursday and Friday 11 to 3 and Saturday 8 to 3. During the summer, it’s suppose to be open on Sunday 11 to 3 as well.
2nd Street Market is located in an old Baltimore and Ohio warehouse. There are many different vendors from people selling produce, dairy, flowers, olive oil, and bread. You can get breakfast or lunch there. Socialize with your friends. Enjoy music on Saturdays.
A lot of local products are sold there. It’s one of my happy places.
Oh, and in 2012 Country Living mentioned it as one of the top 50 things to see in every state.
Enjoy some of the many photos I have taken at this gem of a place.
My favorite lunch there is the Greek salad from Azra’s Mediterranean Cuisine.
Be sure to check out the murals outside the market. I absolutely love photographing them.
It’s located 4.3 miles from the National Museum of the United States Air Force or 10 minutes away. Not bad!
Join me tomorrow for a trail that involves donuts.
Have a magical day,
Traci
