The day after Thanksgiving, the Imaginative One and I left early for the Magic Kingdom resort area. Before leaving Pop Century, we stopped quickly in the food court for a small breakfast.
I got myself a small coffee and a chocolate croissant. Chocolate croissants one of my top 5 favorite foods at Disney.
The first place we visited was the Contemporary. We did not get anything to eat while there.
Afterwards we traveled to the Polynesian. The Wee One and Hubby joined us at the Polynesian. They ate their breakfast at the Polynesian.
When you order from the Polynesian’s Captain Cook’s, they hand you this tracker. When you place the tracker on the black part of the table, they are able to find you to get your order to you.
The Wee One ordered Mickey Mouse waffles. He had already eaten the ear of the one waffle before I could take a photo of it.
Hubby wanted Tonga Toast which is French toast stuffed with bananas. Then it is fried. Hubby has wanted Tonga Toast for a while so I couldn’t get a photo of it before he started cutting into it.
After we left the Polynesian, we traveled over to the Grand Floridian. The Imaginative One and I had reservations at 1900 Park Fare for our brunch.
I had wanted to see characters. Since we were not going into the parks, this was a way for me to see Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, the Mad Hatter, Winnie the Pooh, and Tigger.
Plate number 1 – Red velvet pancakes, Mickey waffle, sticky bun, eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy
Strawberry soup – I had 3 bowl fulls of this soup. Yum!
The Imaginative One eating one of his many Mickey waffles.
The specialty juice from the Grand Floridian. It contained orange juice, guava juice, and passion fruit juice. The Imaginative One did not want his so I drank his glass also.
The Imaginative One found out there was gummy bears on the buffet so he got himself some.
Plate 2 – breakfast pizza, yogurt, pineapples, and mandarin oranges.
After visiting the Grand Floridian, we took the monorail back to the Magic Kingdom area. Then we took the ferry over to the Wilderness Lodge.
While we were at the Wilderness Lodge, we stopped in the Territory Lounge. Since it was earlier in the day, they were serving speciality coffee drinks. We got this Wilderness Bark iced latte which had chocolate and hazelnut. Hubby was only going to drink a little bit of the coffee. He ended up drinking at least half of it. The Wee One also took a taste or two of it.
Once we left the Wilderness Lodge, we ended up back at the Contemporary. The Wee One was starving so we stopped at their coffee area on the first floor. (Contemporary Grounds)
I ended up getting a Mango Tango smoothie. It contains orange guava juice, mango, papaya, pineapple, coconut cream, and yogurt. I enjoyed it. So did Hubby and the Wee One
The Wee One got himself a honey bun while at Contemporary Grounds. He ate it in a hurry so I didn’t get a photo of it. (Here he is holding it. We were on the escalator up to the monorail area of the Contemporary.)
After leaving the Contemporary, we traveled back Pop Century. The boys and Hubby swam and then went to the food court. Hubby got me this flat bread. They usually do not serve it there but made it special for him.
He also got me another Tie Died cheesecake.
Later that night, the Imaginative One and I went back to the Magic Kingdom resort area to watch the fireworks from the Polynesian.
I got myself a Dole Whip float while at the Polynesian.
The next morning before we left the Disney resort area, I walked over to the Art of Animation’s Landscape of Flavor for Simba waffles.
What a way to end our quick visit to Disney.
