My Favorite View – Summer 2019

This summer has been a different type of summer.

The boys are getting older so there wasn’t very many day trips. Let’s take that back – We’ve done day trip. I’ve done some road trips with each of them individually.

The Memorial Day tornadoes change the dynamics of my summer. Even though it didn’t directly affect me, it affected the area I teach in so that made me upset.

I also had a family member suffer with pneumonia. When she went into the hospital, they also discovered stage 4 liver cancer. Within 5 days of her being admitted into the hospital, she had succumbed to her cancer. Tonight is the viewing and tomorrow is the funeral.

There was also a high school classmate of mine that died in the beginning of July. She was only 44 years old.

One of our family friends died in June. Mom and I went to his funeral. When I was a child and lived in Pennsylvania, my grandparents would send care packages to us through him. He would be on business trips and would stop at our house. So his death was also difficult.

Even with all this upheaval and change in my life, I do have a few favorite summer view. My friend Molly, Youngest, and I visited Niagara Falls. We watched the Falls change colors and then the fireworks which is amazing.

Molly and I also traveled to the top of the Skylon Tower. I was able to get this awesome view of American Falls, Bridal Falls, and Horseshoe Falls.

I only have a week and half left of my summer before I’m back at work.

Stay kind!

Have a magical day,
