Love in the Scottish Highlands

4. Write a blog post the ends with the sentence: I had a feeling that would happen.   Three years ago, the Imaginative One and I spent the last full day in Disney together.  We went to Animal Kingdom and then EPCOT. While we were in EPCOT, I decided to get a photograph of him […]

4. Book review!

Have you ever fallen in love with a book that you are willing to read over and over again?  A book that makes you want to travel to a foreign land just to see the sights that are mentioned.  A book that makes you meet your own Jamie.

I have read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon over and over again.  I’m currently listening to the book on Audible once again.

It’s 1945.  Claire and Frank Randall were separated during World War II so they decided to have a second honeymoon in the Scottish Highlands.

While Claire is hunting for flowers, she ends up being transported back to 1743.  The first man she encounters was Frank Randall’s six times grandfather.

After Claire escapes Frank Randall’s six times grandfather, she encounters a group of MacKenzie clansmen.  One of them was injured.  Claire renders aid to the injured man.  Since they did not know where Claire came from, they decide to take her to Castle Leoch.

No one knows who Claire is – Some of them think she is a French lady.  While other’s think she is an English spy.  If she told them who she really was, they would think she was a witch.

Join Claire on her adventures in Castle Leoch, in the MacKenzie clan’s land, Fort William, Lallybroch, and Wentworth Prison.  During those adventures, she is forced to marry James Alexander Malcom MacKenzie Fraser to keep her safe.  Over time, she also falls in love with James Fraser.

This book has adventure and romance.  You will fall in love and become angry throughout the book.

(I don’t want to give you all of the plot of the book because it’s an adventure you want to experience on your own.)

Have a magical day,

Mama’s Losin’ It
