Deidre Hall (TBT)

Today I was talking to someone about seeing the cast of Boy Meets World while on the Disney College Program. I’ve been binge watching the last season of the show. Can you believe that the last season was 20 years ago?

I don’t have any photos to prove I really saw them. Just my memories and stories.

Anyway, Mom loved Days of Our Lives. She was super excited because one of her favorite actresses, Deidre Hall, was going to be at Disney-MGM Studios. Luckily, I was off the day she came to the Studios.

I got to watch her speak and put her hands in the cement. She had her youngest son, Sully, with her when she was at the Studios.

Did you know that they would not put all of the cement hand prints out in front of the Chinese Theater at Disney-MGM Studios? I tried to find the hand prints of the cast of Boy Meets World 5 years later. That’s when they informed that they didn’t keep all of them.

Stay kind!

Have a magical day,
Traci

  1. Apparently DOOL is still going strong 54 years later. One of the last soaps; guess they’re too expensive to make anymore.

I never watched “Boy Meets World” enough to form an opinion about it. I do know that William Daniels is a fine actor, and I have seen his final lecture to his students, where they all have left the room before he finished and never heard him tell them he loved them. Quite a touching scene…

  2. DOOL was the first and only soap I ever watched. That was way back in high school, and I guess Marlena is still on the show. She’s in her 70’s now, wow.
Come to think of it, there have been a lot of cement handprints made. I guess it makes sense that the theater can’t keep them all!

  3. Disney changed it’s name movie theme park from Disney MGM Studios to Hollywood Studios quite a few years ago now. I say that because at first I didn’t know what park you were referencing. They’re always re-imagining themselves. We were just there—you should see all the construction going on—new bus stop areas, new attractions, new restaurants.

    1. To me, Hollywood Studios will forever be Disney-MGM Studios. I worked at Soundstage Restaurant and the Sunset Ranch Market there from September 1995 to January 1996 while in College.

  4. That’s so weird that they wouldn’t keep and display all the handprints. Maybe it’s a space issue. I’m so glad you and your mom got to meet some celebrities you admire. I love it when that happens!

  5. I used to watch Days religiously in college and before kids! 🙂 I just read an article that said the actors and actresses were being released from their contracts!

Please leave me a message so I know you came and visited.
