I’ve shared what ate on Day 1 and Day 2 of our visit to Universal Studios in Florida. This Wednesday, I’m going to share what we ate on the third day of our visit to Universal Studios. We visited Islands of Adventure on that Tuesday.
When we got to Islands of Adventure on that Tuesday morning, we darted over to the Hogsmeade area of the park. We rode the rides and then ate at the Three Broomsticks for our breakfast.
I hope you enjoyed what we ate while we were in Universal Studios.
Have a magical day,
Traci
Join me on Saturdays to see photos from our Universal Studios/ Walt Disney Resort vacation during Thanksgiving.

In November, we traveled to Orlando, Florida. We visited Universal Studios and the Walt Disney World resort. I’m sharing what we ate at both places. Please check out my travel page for the other What We Ate blog posts.
The Hot Butterbeer from the Leaky Cauldron
The boys’ pancake breakfasts. The Wee One did not finish his plate so his 13 year old brother finished his plate for him.
My traditional British breakfast – I tried the blood pudding but did not like it.
Hubby’s traditional American breakfast
The Leaky Cauldron
We spent the day in Universal Studios. I had heard about the huge pink doughnut that you could get in the Simpson’s area of Universal.
The doughnut
The doughnut
The doughnut was as big as his head.
The ice cream from Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor – I got the apple flavor.
The Imaginative One got the chocolate swirl one.
We ended up at City Walk for lunch. We decided to go see Fantastical Beasts and Where to Find Them while in Universal Studios. I got chips and queso from Moe’s.
Hubby and the Wee One shared Chinese from Panda Express.
The Imaginative One had Burger King for his lunch.
Once again, we had cereal, oatmeal, and Oatmeal Creme pies for breakfast. I tried to make Taco Soup in the slow cooker for our dinner. However when we got back to the room, the slow cooker was unplugged off. So we did not have that for dinner.
Hubby, the Wee One, and I shared a pizza for dinner. I don’t know what the Imaginative One ate for dinner.
Happy eating,
Traci

Before we visited the Disney resort, we visited Universal Studios, Florida. We stayed at Cabana Beach Bay Resort.
Here is what we ate the day we arrived and then during our first day in the park.
The salad I got in the Bayliner Diner. I was in the mood for some fresh food when we arrived so I got this salad.
We tried a cold Butterbeer. The boys refused to try the Butterbeer.
This is me trying the cold Butterbeer. It was okay but not as good as the hot Butterbeer.
We went over to the Hogsmeade area in the Islands of Adventure. Of course, we went into Honeydukes.
My marshmallow, chocolate, and walnut fudge from Honeydukes.
Hubby’s Butterbeer fudge from Honeydukes.
My cheeseburger from Burger Digs in the Jurassic Park area of Islands of Adventure. I found out that the piece of cheese on my burger was a dollar. If I had known that, I would have gotten a hamburger instead.
The Imaginative One got the same thing except his was without cheese and only had ketchup on his burger.
Hubby and the Wee One shared a hot dog. They ate it before I was able to get a photo of it.
We would get water cups and then put flavor enhancers in the water.
I wanted Cinnabuns but decided to get the little doughnut holes type of cinnamon roll. It came with a little cup of icing.
The Imaginative One rode the Incredible Hulk so he got himself a Frappachino as a prize. We tried to get him a shirt saying he rode it but he opted for the drink instead.
The salad I got that night from the Bayliner Diner.
We also had breakfast in the room. Cereal for the boys, oatmeal for me, and oatmeal creme pies for Hubby.
I made sloppy Joes in my slow cooker for our supper. We had Pringles with the sloppy Joes. That’s the only day I was successful with my slow cooker.
Join me next Wednesday for what we ate in Universal Studios – Day 2.
Happy eating,
Traci
The day after Thanksgiving, the Imaginative One and I left early for the Magic Kingdom resort area. Before leaving Pop Century, we stopped quickly in the food court for a small breakfast.
We stayed at Pop Century in Walt Disney World on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.
After checking out of Universal’s Cabana Bay, we traveled over to Pop Century. Before heading to our room, we stopped at the food court for a light brunch.
I had biscuits and gravy with a tie died cheesecake. The tie died cheesecake is only found at Pop Century. Yum!
The Wee One and the Imaginative One had pancakes, bacon, strawberries, and grapes.
Hubby had eggs, hash brown casserole, and sausage gravy.
A better photo of the tied die cheesecake.
We decided to do something different for our Thanksgiving dinner. We ate at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Boma was wonderful!
My shrimp, hummus and pita, salad, chickpea salad, and curry pasta salad.
Butternut squash soup – Pumpkin pie in a bowl
My shrimp, steak, stuffing, curry pasta salad, watermelon rind salad, and Brussels sprouts
Zebra dome, pumpkin cheesecake, pecan tart, and strawberry panna cotta.
Before and after dinner, we walked around the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We wanted to see how it was decorated and the animals.
This is a video of one of the Cast Members talking about Victoria Falls. He lived 10 minutes away from Victoria Falls.
Here are some photos from the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Since we had a big dinner at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, we did not have any other food.
Join me later for what we ate during our day of resort hopping on Black Friday.
I’ve been missing because work got crazy. Then I got sick. Finally we went on a long vacation – 10 days away. My life was insane!
Any who, I’m going to be sharing what we ate while in both Universal Studios Florida and while we were on the Walt Disney World property. We actually visited the parks while at Universal. While we were in Walt Disney World, we visited 10 different resorts and Disney Springs.
One of the places, we visited was Port Orleans – French Quarter. I had heard about the beignets being sold there. In fact, that is the only place that beignets are sold on property. We took a ferry from Disney Springs over to Port Orleans. It was almost like floating into a bayou. So cool!
The family love the beignets which are deep-fried pastries. We dipped them in chicory chocolate sauce. Yum!
After we were done with visiting Port Orleans, we visited Earl of Sandwich in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs. Hubby got himself an Italian sandwich and potato wedges. Since it was the day before Thanksgiving, I got myself a holiday Turkey sandwich. The sandwich contained turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo. It was delicious!
I also got this pasta salad. I ended up not eating until dinner time. It was delicious.
After our 2014 trip, we found out about the made to order Mickey head Rice Krispie treat. The Imaginative One really wanted one so we allowed him to get one. He had it dipped in chocolate and then topped with mini M&M’s and white chocolate drizzle. I thought he would have some of the Rice Krispie treat left over for later. He ended up eating the whole thing in about 10 to 15 minutes.
One of my favorite treats in Walt Disney World is their Mickey Ice Cream bar. I know it’s just ice cream coated with chocolate. However there is something magical about eating it when it is shaped like a Mickey head.
Hubby has loved poutine ever since we came home from Niagara Falls. I knew there was a quick service counter that sold poutine in Disney Springs. However, I did not know where it was located. While we were in the Lego Store, I needed to go to the restroom so I went looking for the nearest restroom. I ended up finding the quick service restaurant that sold poutine. Boy was Hubby glad when I showed him the restaurant!
On a side note, he had been wanting to get a soft pretzel but the line was ridiculous so he did not get one. He was delighted that he ended up not getting that soft pretzel.
We went to see Moana while we were at Disney Springs. Even though the majority of us did not eat anything during the movies, the Imaginative One had some popcorn. I could not take a photo of his popcorn.
After the movie, Hubby and I got gelato floats from Violi il Gelato. I got a Topicale float with coconut gelato, pineapple sorbet, blood orange juice, pineapple, whipped cream, and cherries. Yum!
Hubby got a Creamsicle float with vanilla gelato, orange Sorbet, orange Soda, and whipped cream.
They were expensive in my opinion. Almost 10 dollars each so they were a special treat.
I had wanted to find a bakery called Sprinkles while we were there. I finally found it and got myself a strawberry cupcake. It was okay. Not worth the hype in my opinion. We have a great local cupcake shop that has spoiled me with their deliciousness.
Afterwards we went back to our hotel room and ate dinner there.
Join me later when I share what we ate in Universal and more of Disney.
Here are the pics from our eats from our Spring Break trip to Canada. All these pictures are taken on my DSLR camera.
I’ve posted some links to various restaurants and descriptions of the various foods. Those are in red.
