Yes, I said days. I had an unexpected day off on Valentine’s Day so Hubby and I went out. Then I took the boys out on Friday which is a rare occurrence now that they are older.
Wednesday night – I was at work for Parent – Teacher conferences when the water went out in the building. A student had asked me if she could go to a certain water fountain. She came back and told me the water was out. A little bit later, I found out it was throughout the area. It was not until I was picking up the Imaginative One from DeMolay that it was all throughout the Dayton area. It was the Great Water Crisis of 2019.
Even though they found the source of the leak the next morning, school was cancelled because we were still without water and under a boil advisory if you did have water.
I ended up driving the Imaginative One to school which was wonderful because I got to see a beautiful sunrise. My dog and I chased the sunrise until I could find a good place to take a photo.
So Hubby and I decided to go to one of our favorite tea shops for lunch. I had the Italian grilled cheese with salad while he had the apricot ham.
Afterwards we went to the dentist so he could make an appointment. We were so close to Foy’s so I took the time to take some photos with the Rock and the window scene.
Our final stop was to go pay some bills. Since I live in a military town, it was nice to see this sign.

When I woke up on Friday, I didn’t want to stay at home so I suggested to the boys that we go to Barnes and Nobles and Target. They were game to go to both. They had gift cards to use at Barnes and Nobles. In true the Imaginative One fashion, he found a book he wanted to read while the Wee One found Legos.
After stopping in the Cafe’ for some drinks, it was onto Target. I kept losing the teenagers. They were all about looking at the toys, playing Pokemon’ in the electronics department, and looking at the greeting cards.
They got their Valentine’s Day candy and the few essentials that the Imaginative One needed from the store. The Wee One used another gift card to get another set of Legos.

Our last stop of the day was to get Five Guys and Chipotle for lunch.

Now they are in the Wee One’s room playing Legos. There is a lot of imaginative play going on right now. I need them to take out the trash, but that’s going to have to wait because they are actually playing and not on their phones, computers, or tablets.
I hope your Valentine’s Day was as wonderful as mine.
Stay kind!
