One of my favorite quick service restaurant meal at Walt Disney World is from the Polynesian’s Captain Cook’s Restaurant. I enjoy eating the Hawaiian flatbread with a cup of Dole Whip.
I’ve never stayed at the Polynesian. It’s on my Walt Disney World bucket list though. It’s a beautiful resort.
I decided to recreate my favorite meal. It was absolutely yum! When I made the flatbread, I drank a Dole Whip Smoothie with it.
Welcome to my menu:
I’m going to do something different this month. I’ve planned a menu for the rest of the month so we can concentrate on our summer fun instead of trying to decide what to do with dinner.
I’ve chosen meals from my blog to cook this month so I can revisit old favorites. Each week. I’ll post a dessert for the week.

As you know, I like to make copycat Walt Disney World recipes since I cannot get there as often as I would like.
One of my favorite treats at Walt Disney World is Dole Whip. Actually it’s one of many favorite treats at Walt Disney World.
I didn’t find the exact recipe for Dole Whip but I found one that was close enough to satisfy the craving for Dole Whip. There is a place 20 minutes from my house that sells Dole Whip so when I have the real urge to have some, I’ll go there and pretend I’m at WDW.
Homemade “Dole Whip”
Stars of the recipe:
- 1 c. frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/4 c. milk, use more if needed (dairy or coconut)
- 1 – 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- Place all ingredients in a blender.
- Blend until smooth. If needed, add more milk (1 Tbsp. at a time).
- Enjoy right away
Almost 2 years ago, we went to Walt Disney World. Hubby got us reservations for Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary so that we could met Mickey and the gang.
It was there that I discovered the breakfast pizza. Delicious! I’ve found recipes for the pizza but hadn’t tried to make the pizza until tonight.
This is an easy recipe so that’s a win for me.

Have you ever walked around the mall and smelled the delicious smells of roasted pecans or almonds? Or walked around Walt Disney World and saw the carts of candied nuts? You can now make your own candied pecans and pretend to be in WDW.
Walt Disney World’s Cinnamon Candied Pecans
I made these many years ago as part of my Christmas making and baking. However I stopped making them because of family circumstances. Today I made them once again. Yum! My house now smells wonderful!
