Mint Chocolate Chip No Churn Ice Cream

The Imaginative One loves the color green.  Once he was old enough to chose his own ice cream flavor, he would chose mint chocolate chip ice cream.  For five or so years, he would only eat with mint chocolate chip ice cream.  In recent years, his choice of ice cream flavors is more diverse. Cream Soda Ice Cream

This is our family’s favorite ice cream that my in-laws make.  They only make it for special occasions   At the end of the school year, my mother-in-law contacts my sons’ teachers and asks if they mind her bringing some of the ice cream to share with their classmates.  It is a way for them to celebrate their birthdays because they both have summer birthdays.

Warning:  You do need to have an ice cream machine to make this.

  3. Put in a freezer safe container in your freezer.

Homemade “shamrock” shakes (GF)

Last week, I took the boys to McDonalds so they could try the Shamrock shake. Both of them loved it! This week I decided to make my own version. Ice cream was on sale for a pint. Can’t beat a dollar for a pint!

It’s so simple to make. Just put the ingredients in the blender and blend away.

Oh and while they were enjoying their treat, I was enjoying my St. Patty’s smoothie. Recipe to come later.
