I love last-minute plans. On Saturday, I saw one of my friends giving away tickets to a concert. She couldn’t go, so she asked if anyone wanted the tickets. I told her I was interested, so I got the tickets.
The concert was for the Spin Doctors, Gin Blossom, and Blues Traveler. My Gen X heart was ecstatic.
I’m going to share a video from each of the bands.
The Spin Doctors played Purple Rain. The sky began to turn gray. Wind began to pick up. A storm was a brewing. We knew it was supposed to rain but didn’t expect it to start at that moment. Once the downpour was over, the rest of the concert went off without a hitch.
At the end of the Spin Doctors set, the lead singer spoke to us. He told us to text him when we got home. He wanted to know we got home safe. Such a Gen X thing
It was a great concert.
