1–2 minutes

We then hit up Rhode Island, my 32nd state to check out. Wouldn’t you know it, it decided to rain a bit of mist the whole time we were there! So we didn’t get to do what I originally planned which was to see the mansions at Newport.

I have a picture of me outside with the sign. However I like the selfie I took inside better.

To get to Newport, you have to drive over 2 bridges. One into Jamestown, Rhode Island and the other in Newport. It was spooky driving across the bridges because it was foggy. You couldn’t see the whole bridge, so it felt as though you were driving into nothing.

Once we rolled into Newport, I thought it’d be cool to hit up this coffee shop I spotted on TikTok. I was extremely curious to see if it was really as good as everyone said. So we put that as our destination to walk to once we parked.

Man, I’m so glad I chose that coffee shop as our first stop! We were able to get a layout of the area. We found an alternative because visiting the mansions was not an option.

Newport is renowned for its tennis tournaments and the America’s Cup. We discovered the Sailing Museum while we were walking to the coffee shop. But first coffee – I got the strawberry latte. The only problem I had was that they did not have decaf coffee. I typically have one caffeinated coffee and then a decaf one later in the day. That’s okay. I was on vacation.

The strawberry latte was so GOOD. And the warmth of the coffee was refreshing in the rain. So was it worth the hype? At least for me, the answer is yes.

Today I’m sharing the photos from the sailing museum. On Wednesday, I’ll share the remaining photos from Newport.

We loved the museum. It NOT only had displays but also interactive elements throughout the museum. If you ever find yourself in Newport, Rhode Island, be sure to visit this place.
