1–2 minutes

Here are the three words I’ve been given today.

PLOD
FROWN
RUSH

One of my students plods down the hallway. I always know when he is about to enter my room because I can hear his footsteps. I know I won’t see a frown on his face. Instead, he will tell us how excited he is to be at school. He’s never in a rush to take off his jacket or put down his backpack. If you remind him to do that, he will drop his backpack and jacket right where he is standing. Then you need to prompt him to put it in the right place.

I enjoy his enthusiasm and optimism, so I don’t mind hearing him plod down the hallway.

    Some people are heavy footed.
I worked with one girl who was very petite, and you could hear her coming, whereas one of the guys who weighed in at about 200lbs was really quiet, and he wasn’t trying to be!
Thanks for joining in again Traci

Actually we don’t mind it. His footsteps let us know he is coming which brings a smile to our faces.
